WELCOME!
My name is Tim Anderson
(a.k.a.
Lightning Wolf), and amateur archaeology is my hobby. I am a native of
South Texas, and most of my life I’ve been collecting authentic
artifacts
from the area, and knapping reproductions
of
flint artifacts as a hobby. My interest in this hobby was originally
fostered
by my father and my great grandparents.
If you are a beginning
knapper,
check out my free online Flintknapping
Tutorial.
Included are tools, flint sources, heat treating, pressure and
percussion
flaking, notching, fluting, and more. This tutorial is now available in
a printed
and bound book.
For the last ten years, I
have
been working on illustrating an identification guide for South Texas
Indian
artifacts. I have decided to publish it on this website, free of charge!
Included are detailed sketches of over 400 South Texas artifacts.
Included
are projectile points, painted pebbles, bone and shell artifacts, and
much
more! Click on
Identification
guide to see it.
There is now a condensed version of this online book that is available
in the printed and bound form. Click here
for more
information.
Below are some authentic
artifacts
from my collection. Many of these artifacts were found by my great
grandparents
on their farm in Medina County, Texas; while others were found in Comal
and surrounding Counties.
I DO NOT SELL AUTHENTIC
ARTIFACTS!
