The lifestyle of a Middle Archaic Texan was very similar to
that of the Early Archaic. One change is in their diet: fewer
lechuguilla bulbs were eaten, replaced with sotol bulbs.
New point and tool types appeared along with a new painted
pebble style. Basketry skills progressed, cordage included
knotted netting, and knotless netting (used for carry bags).
Clothing for a man consisted of a G-string and sandals.
A woman's clothing included a leather or fiber fringe over
the waist, and sandals. Children usually went naked but
wore a basketry cap. Snail shells were strung and worn as
necklaces. Bone tube necklaces were made from turkey
bones, and pendants were carved from shell and bone.
